YOU know I haven't blogged in a while... And I know I haven't blogged in a while... SO, I better make this short and sweet in order to keep your attention for more than a sentence.
I'll bet you're wondering what I've been up to these past nine months (Goodness, has it really been that long... ?). Haha, or you're wondering what I could possibly have to say after an absence lasting 3/4's of a year. Truthfully, I haven't a clue.
But let's start with the basics shall we? In list form.
Major and interesting happenings which have occurred in the past nine months:
I...
- Participated in my final High School Theatre Production
- Traveled to Tennessee with my graduating class for our Senior Trip
- Graduated from High School with a 3.5 GPA.
- Made friends
- Lost friends
- Ventured to Michigan's Adventure... TWICE
- Ventured to Ceder Point... TWICE
- Tried a peanut butter and pickle sandwich (ONCE AND ONLY ONCE)
- Wrote some new poetry
- Laughed and smiled (A LOT)
- Consumed a cup of coffee from every major brewer in the area
- Cleaned a dog which had been skunk sprayed
- Dyed my hair dark brown
- Became an adult (YES)
- Saw Panic! At the Disco in concert... TWICE
- Was awarded a scholarship and acceptance into the Leadership Academy at Lansing Community College which generously pays for a majority of my tuition
- Completed my first semester of college with a 4.0 GPA
- Started my second semester of college
- Joined a sensational College Ministry Group
- Discovered a remarkable friendship in one I highly admonish and regard as an excellent source of powerful encouragement, positive empowerment, and personal relatability
- Learned a great deal about life
- Grew significantly in my relationship with Jesus Christ
In the months to come, I hope to be working a steady job (though I know not where at the moment!), developing a plan for my future by declaring a definitive major, seeking further direction in multiple areas (spiritually, academically, occupationally, relationally...), saving for a vehicle of transportation (lol), actively and intentionally progressing in beneficial, influential friendships in church, at school, within my College Group, etc., pursuing academic success at LCC, openly witnessing to others by living a respectable and honoring life for Christ... And finally, updating this blog as often as I am able.
Stay tuned for future updates! I'll do my best to make them interesting. ;)
Thank you for reading,
- Jacob

This post made me smile. You did a very good job of making it short sweet and to the point. I was interested throughout the whole thing. I find it funny the different things you mentioned in trying to sum up the past months.
I look forward to reading you post.
And you better believe i'll enjoy reading even your most long worded posts.
I'm very pleased to hear that you felt as though I did a sufficient job of summarizing the past few months. I had fun coming up with the more notable and comical points to post. I'll do my best to continually keep them interesting! Haha, as well as under 1500 words...
It's reassuring to know that I shall have one committed reader, even through the lengthier posts.
Good luck with your job interview today! I'll be praying that God provides you with the confidence and eloquence you need to make a lasting impression on your possible, future employers.
I'm sure you'll do great.
