Have you ever felt trapped in your own home? I have.
Haha, right now, in our home, it is currently eighty five degrees. FAR too warm for proper living conditions. *Sweats* Just yesterday, I came down with a sort of sickness. I'm not sure how, but ever since early yesterday morning, my stomach has been aching something fierce!
Er, I lied... I sort of begun feeling queasy on my birthday, but I've been hesitant to admit that to anyone.
Goodness, when was the last time I wrote? Last week. Lots has happened since then! Though I have not an interesting prologue to start it all off... So I shall have to plunge right in! :D
FRIDAY last, was my birthday. An otherwise flawless day! I slept in until Noon, which I do not normally do! But with it being my birthday, my parents made an exception. As a treat, my Mother took me out to lunch! We ate at Big Boy (A family favorite). Slim Jim and fries + a Cherry Pepsi. If I received nothing else on my birthday, I wouldn't mind, I LOVED this. Afterwards she took me to the mall to buy new clothes! A surprising suggestion for my Mom, but appreciative I was, nonetheless. :D
That evening was the South Church 5K run. Everyone in my family planned on running in it (Except Mom and me!). It's funny... Because last year, Dad, Justin, Nathan, and I all medaled in the race. Probably the most fun I've ever had running. This year it was different, because the race was on my birthday. Not only that, but it happened to be pouring rain. Subsequently, the 5K was cancelled. I personally didn't mind too much... But Dad, Justin, Nathan, and Rebekah were thoroughly disappointed, Justin mostly. After the run had been completely rained out, my family, plus Jacob D. and Luke F. (Fergie), headed over to New Covenant for the C.H.E.S.S. Graduation Ceremony. Because the race was our primary commitment for the night, we were not anticipating being able to make the end of the ceremony. Thankfully, that worked out.
Saturday the 22nd... Hmm, where to start. MANY things happened on that day. Jacob and Luke spent Friday night at our house and we spent HOURS talking and recording cheesy videos (For Luke, who I know is reading this, "Shaylee, Shaylee, Shaylee... Ohhhhhhh! I thought you'd always be mine!"). After that, the younger guys tired themselves out by wrestling with each other, while the older, wiser teens decided to hit the hay.
Saturday morning... I woke up with a horrible stomach ache. For me, this is odd, for I rarely have unannounced, spontaneous health issues... At 5:30 A.M. I woke up feeling... Just... "Blah." So I moved over to the couch to sleep, because I'd been (*Ahem*) sleeping on the floor all night. That worked for half an hour before I trudged downstairs and fell asleep on our living room couch. Woke up at 10:00 A.M., tired, and not feeling well... Jacob and Nathan had a soccer game which left Justin, Luke, and I home alone. I TRIED not to complain too much about my stomach... Because who wants to hear all about that. Around 3:00 P.M., Luke was picked up.
Knowing full well that it was late afternoon, I got ready for the day. I showered and all that, which felt a little better! Then I took a nap on my parents Sleep Number bed. Haha, I was VERY out of it on Saturday... My Mom was so gracious and helpful though! She checked in on me every half our to see if I needed anything... What she really wanted was for me to eat. On Saturday I didn't eat anything. That's how whack my stomach was acting. At 7:00 P.M., my Mom came in.
"Jacob Krepps was in the neighborhood and decided to drop in." ~ Mom
"?!" ~ Me
"Well, would you like to say hello?" ~ Mom
"Of course! ... But did you tell him I haven't been feeling well?" ~ Me
"Yes... But he wanted to see you." ~ Mom
"Well, alright." ~ Me
(Jacob K. enters, dressed for a party)
"Hey man, heard you weren't feeling well." ~ Jacob K.
"Truth. Haha..." ~ Me
From there we caught up (We're buds since Freshmen year and we haven't talked in a few weeks due to differing and busy schedules)! I decided it best to get up for a little while, though I had the nastiest case of bed head. When I walked out of my parents room, I was surprised to see Fergie chilling there, talking with Justin.
"What... Are you doing here? ... Again?" ~ Me
"Haha, you'll see..." ~ Fergie (Luke)
Within five minutes of my getting out of bed, tons of friends begin showing up at our house. Turns out my parents planned a surprise party for Rebekah and I (If you did not know, our birthdays are one day apart). VERY surprised about it, but also very pleased. :D
I felt much better being around people. Don't know what it was... A healthy dose of excitement and surprise to keep the good 'ole heart pump'n I guess. From 7:00 until 1:00 A.M. we partied and had an absolute blast! Many of my good friends were able to make it. Including one of my very good friends from Grand Rapids.
Side note: This weekend I am being kidnapped. Yes, you heard me correctly. After TW Graduation and open houses for two of my very good friends (Colleen and Kristina), Jen M. (My friend from GR) is "kidnapping" me to Grand Rapids for the weekend. We shall be meeting up with another of my very good friends, Cameron D.! We'll be doing all sorts of crazy things I'm sure... But I'm extremely excited to be with them (For College students are very hard to get a hold of...) for the weekend. :)
Anyway! Sunday was spent in preparation for the last of my exams, which were today. On MONDAY, I hitched a ride with the Doerr's to the HSMA Concert at Holt High School. It was AMAZING. Gosh, I was so impressed with all my talented friends. They're all very entertaining musicians! Afterwards I visited with the performers (MY FRIENDS). SARAH B.! I know you're reading this! SO KNOW, you did an awesome job. Truly inspiring! All of you guys! I'm proud of ya'll. Got it? XD
Also, George Washington Carver says hello. Though I do not understand why he's being so cheery today. You and me both know he has a dark side... Hmm...
Today, was a day of miracles. I am defining the word "miracle" in a way that may be interpreted as "simple accomplishments." There were several instances today in which I felt personally accomplished. With the end of the school year being today, that was a HUGE accomplishment in and of itself. Here's a list of other things that went "well."
1.) The last of my exams weren't so bad.
2.) The exams I got back today had delightful results
3.) The guys team won in "American Lit. Jeopardy" (If Christine S. is reading this... Ha! Jk Jk)
4.) The weather was superb (Not a personal accomplishment, but hey...)
5.) I successfully jumped the TW Balcony. *Ahem*...
6.) I successfully flipped off the TW sign out front. *Ahem* *Ahem*...
7.) I successfully led my first PLC meeting tonight and appointed new leaders.
That was pretty much my day TODAY. Haha, and I guess I could add "I wrote a really long, half-decent, blog post" to boot!
Tomorrow me and my family are going to a beach party held by Isaac J. and his family. We're all looking forward too it, because the weather tomorrow is supposed to be warm. Thursday is the TW open house/rewarding of certificates. Friday is... Nothing. But I'll figure out something to do. SATURDAY, is the TW Graduation Ceremony + Open houses + Kidnapping! Hopefully I shall have time to update next week... From this point forward, I am going to get terribly busy.
But that's just what I love about life. Busy, crazy, out-of-my-mind, hectic, hecticness.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed my post!

P.S. I've also been noticing that I do not get ANY comments on my posts... I think this is due to my recent layout changes. :P I'd like opinions on this. Should I keep my current layout despite the fact I do not receive any comments? Or should I find a different, less "cool" layout, which will enable comments from other Blogger uses (Like I had before)? Email me your opinions at, DramaMan.13@gmail.com
Thanks!
